How to prepare, and when to expect the report
Preparation
- Fast for 10 to 12 hours before the sample; plain water is allowed, but no tea, coffee or milk. An early morning slot makes this easiest. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before.
- Take regular medicines with water unless your doctor says otherwise; diabetes medicines are usually taken after the sample, with breakfast.
- If you take thyroxine, give the sample first and take the tablet afterwards. Stop biotin supplements for 48 hours beforehand, as biotin can interfere with hormone tests.
- For the urine test, give a first-morning, midstream sample in the sterile container we provide.

Do I need to fast for the Advance Plus Full Body Checkup?
Yes. It includes a lipid profile, so fast for 10 to 12 hours beforehand, with plain water allowed. Book an early morning slot.
Why does it include both CRP and hs-CRP?
Standard CRP looks for active inflammation or infection. High-sensitivity CRP measures much lower levels and is used by doctors as one part of assessing heart risk. They answer different questions.
If my rheumatoid factor is positive, do I have arthritis?
Not necessarily. Rheumatoid factor can be positive in healthy people, especially older adults, and in other conditions. It only means something when read with your symptoms and examination.
What does total IgE show?
Total IgE tends to be higher in allergic conditions and some parasitic infections. It does not identify what you are allergic to; that needs specific allergy tests if your doctor advises them.
